It has rechargeable batteries, but I haven’t replaced them. As of right now, without the rechargeable batteries, it works only when plugged in. The charger will come with it. It’s super cool! Bought from a small business from a Comic Con. Free shipping! This is 3D PRINTED it wont look perfect like it was produced in a factory.
